Lion batteries started as a small battery factory in Burwood, Sydney in the late 1930s. Lion originally produced rubber cased batteries to the Australian market before organising strategic relationships with Yuasa (Century Batteries) in order to expand operations and capacity.

Lion batteries are available for automotive, marine, agricultural, motorcycle, solar installations and other specialty products.
